Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitisPlantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of foot pain and can be a very painful and debilitating condition. In general, the pain is at its worst first thing in the morning and after longer periods of inactivity and will often continue to get worse over time. The plantar fascia typically works to absorb shock in the foot and support the arch in the feet. Repetitive stress and tension as well as a falling or collapsing of the arch can cause undue stretching of the fascia which leads to inflammation and ultimately pain in the foot.

At our clinic we diagnose the cause of the plantar fasciitis that takes into account mechanism of the injury, severity and limiting factors in your everyday life. A treatment plan is put into place taking all of these factors into consideration and may include chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, shockwave and orthotics to resolve the problem. The treatment protocol used at our office has proven to be very successful with treating plantar fasciitis with rapid results.
